TrippBit Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: April 23, 2026

1. Cancellations

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for bookings made through TrippBit (trippbit.com) and in the TrippBit Telegram experience. Provider rules (e.g., hotel or airline terms) may apply in addition to this policy.

Cancellation eligibility and any applicable penalties depend on the cancellation terms shown at the time of booking (e.g., “Non-refundable”, “Free cancellation until [date/time]”, partial refund windows, etc.). If a booking is non-refundable under the provider’s rules, TrippBit cannot override that rule.

Key Principle

Refunds follow the cancellation policy shown for your booking. We facilitate cancellation requests but do not control provider fare or rate rules.

Before booking, always review the cancellation policy displayed for your specific flight or hotel.

Flight bookings

Flight bookings are processed through our partner and are subject to the fare rules set by individual airlines. There are typically three types of fares:

Non-Refundable Fares

These are typically the lowest priced tickets. If cancelled, you will not receive a refund. Some airlines may offer credit for future travel (minus fees).

Partially Refundable Fares

These fares allow cancellation with a fee. The refund amount is the ticket price minus the airline's cancellation fee.

Fully Refundable Fares

These flexible fares allow full refunds if cancelled before departure. These are typically the most expensive ticket options.

Airline-Initiated Cancellations

If an airline cancels your flight or makes a significant schedule change, you are typically entitled to:

  • A full refund to your original payment method
  • Rebooking on an alternative flight at no extra cost
  • Additional compensation under EU261/UK261 for flights departing from or arriving in the UK/EU (where applicable)

Hotel bookings

Hotel bookings are processed through our partner and are subject to individual hotel cancellation policies. Common policy types include:

Free Cancellation

Many hotels offer free cancellation up to a certain deadline (e.g., 24-48 hours before check-in). After this deadline, cancellation fees apply.

Always check the specific deadline shown at the time of booking.

Non-Refundable Rates

Some hotels offer discounted non-refundable rates. These bookings cannot be cancelled for a refund. The full amount is charged at time of booking.

Partial Refund

Some hotels charge the first night or a percentage of the booking if cancelled. The remaining amount is refunded.

No-Shows

If you do not arrive at the hotel without cancelling your reservation ("no-show"), you will typically be charged the full booking amount or the first night's rate, depending on the hotel's policy.

2. How to Cancel (Telegram or Email)

You can request a cancellation using either method below:

Telegram (recommended)

Open your TrippBit chat → go to Booking Management → select the booking → choose Cancel and follow the prompts.

Email

Send a cancellation request to support@trippbit.com from the email associated with your booking. Include your booking reference/ID and the name on the reservation.

If you need help with the process, you can also message @trippbit_support on Telegram.

3. Refunds (General)

If your cancellation is eligible for a refund under the booking’s terms, TrippBit will process the refund back to the original payment method where possible. Refund amounts may be reduced by:

  • provider penalties or fees (per the booking’s terms),
  • payment processing costs where applicable, and
  • any non-refundable amounts clearly disclosed at checkout.

4. Cryptocurrency Refunds (2% Fee)

For payments made in cryptocurrency (including Bitcoin and Ethereum), refunds are subject to an additional 2% cryptocurrency refund fee. This fee helps cover processing, treasury, and conversion costs associated with issuing crypto refunds. Network (miner/gas) fees may also apply.

Important Notice

Exchange rates can move between booking and refund. Network (miner/gas) fees may apply in addition to the 2% cryptocurrency refund fee.

  • Refund method: Where possible, refunds are processed to your original cryptocurrency wallet.
  • Network fees: Miner/gas fees may be deducted from the refund amount.
  • Timing: See Refund Timelines for typical initiation and settlement variability.

5. Refund Timelines

Refund timing depends on the provider and payment method. Where applicable, refunds are typically initiated within 5–10 business days after confirmation of eligibility, but banks, card networks, or blockchain settlement times may vary.

Payment MethodTypical timeline
Credit / debit cardOften 5–14 business days after initiation (card issuer dependent)
Bank transferOften 3–7 business days after initiation
CryptocurrencyInitiation within 5–10 business days where applicable; plus network confirmation

Clocks generally start after the provider confirms eligibility and TrippBit initiates the refund. Additional provider-side processing may apply.

6. eSIM Purchases (MobiMatter) — Final Sale / Non-Refundable

Final sale

All eSIM purchases made through TrippBit are final and strictly non-refundable once the order is processed. TrippBit acts as a reseller for MobiMatter, and we cannot cancel, reverse, or refund an eSIM after processing, including in cases of user error (e.g., incompatible device, incorrect destination, or accidental purchase).
